The idea that ‘learning to sing online is hard’
Here at MONE VOCAL ACADEMY, that’s

just not true

Student Da*’s story

Since the classes weren’t in person, Could I really keep it up? I wondered,

Also, since it was online, I wondered whether my voice
would sound different on a recording than it would to a teacher hearing it in person,
and I worried whether I could get proper feedback.

Once I actually took the course

My worry about consistency was resolved because the lessons laid out far more precise, concrete practice methods and goals than I expected.

If I’d felt lost from the start, I might have given up, but with clear goals that felt achievable, "Maybe just a little more?" — with that thought, I was able to keep going.

A few weeks went by like that, and "Oh! If I just do what they say, I’ll get there eventually, whatever my pace!" Once that clicked, practicing became a habit from then on.

My worry about feedback resolved itself naturally after getting feedback a few times, no explanation needed.

Because even with feedback on recordings alone, when I practiced the way the feedback said, sounds I couldn’t make before started coming out, and breathing I couldn’t control began to come under control.

MONE VOCAL ACADEMY Online: Why I chose it

I’ve always loved JPOP, but the biggest reason came while browsing their website, online cafe, and YouTube, when I thought, "These people are otaku." That thought sealed the deal.

I don’t have a music-related background, but in any field, the most trustworthy and capable people are the ones who are genuinely passionate about it. In other words, otaku. So the fact that the MONE VOCAL ACADEMY team struck me as otaku meant they came across as truly sincere, and that’s why I chose this place.

What changed after taking the course

First of all, my stability while singing improved a lot.

Of course, high notes that never used to go up now go up too, but even more than that, the fact that notes in the range that used to be shaky now come out steady is the biggest change, I think.

As for other changes, people around me used to say things like "You sound like a robot", "There’s no emotion in it", "Your singing is bland" and so on, but those reactions have turned into "Oh, you’re actually pretty good" and similar comments instead.

I think that being able to use my breath properly and control my vocal folds gave me some room to breathe, so I could finally pay attention to details I couldn’t take care of before.

I never wanted to make a living from music in the first place. I’d like to keep doing my own job while uploading singing videos to YouTube and getting a little attention. It’s something I’ve always felt, but having someone listen to my singing is a really nice thing.

If money is making you hesitate, I hope you think it over carefully before deciding. But if it’s questions like "Will taking this really change anything?"or "Will I actually put in the work?" that are holding you back, I’d say just give it a try. It’d be a shame to keep something this good all to myself
