I really love pushing my voice to its limits on high notes — calm songs bore me so much I don’t even sing them. This course fits that taste perfectly. Not only does your top range go up, you also learn to create the vocal texture you want. Though it takes an enormous amount of time.. The lessons feel more like learning practical techniques than studying theory, so they’re fun rather than overwhelming. At the same time, that structure can be a drawback. Since it’s based on using your body naturally, theory-minded people might find it hard to follow. Also, there tends to be motivational talk at the start and end of the videos, which might be a bit tedious if you just want the key points fast. Obviously, just watching the lessons won’t instantly fix your voice — it takes a lot of practice. It’s kind of like spiritual training for your throat.. When you get stuck, you need a breakthrough before you can move on to the next stage. The feedback is less detailed than I expected. Rather than a custom solution to your question, it feels more like being pointed back to the lessons that cover your weak spots. Don’t save up your questions like I did — post small ones often. I think singing, like working out, takes accumulated experience. Reaching the level you want takes a lot of time. If the price makes you hesitate, remember that time is money too. Maybe just put it on an interest-free installment plan and start practicing? 🤔

I found MONE VOCAL ACADEMY while searching online because there was a high-note song I wanted to sing. In-person classes with real-time lessons and feedback would be ideal, but my circumstances made that hard, so I went with the online course. Overall, the course covers lots of useful content — basic technique, mid range, high notes, scratch, and more. I recorded myself at a coin karaoke booth before and after, and after the course my vocal folds were closing better, my sound improved, and I gained confidence. While taking the course, if you upload a recording to the online community with a question, you get detailed feedback. And adding a weekly in-person session makes the lessons even more effective.

The curriculum is really well-structured! Since they show you the direction, it feels like all you have to do is put in the time without overthinking, and the results follow. If you don’t understand something or have a concern, you can just ask, which is great

To be honest, I’d looked into plenty of vocal lessons before and even taken some, but when I mentioned 'Ado-Backlight' , it started with 'What song is that?' , and then 'Singing like that will most likely wreck your voice.' — so I ended up learning ballads... Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I wanted to blend a bit of scratch into my singing too T_T Then I found MONE VOCAL ACADEMY, and the thought that I could finally sing the way I’d always wanted made me pay right away. When I was deciding whether to take this course, I worried a lot about whether someone like me, who knew nothing about vocal technique, could really learn from online lessons alone. I’ve only just started the course, but I really like how clearly defined its goals are.

I’ve taken vocal lessons at other academies and watched many vocal coaches on YouTube, so while learning what’s worth learning and filtering out what isn’t, I can more or less tell whether someone truly has what it takes to be a vocal coach. I was always frustrated because I couldn’t hit high notes at all when singing. I’m a grad student who goes to karaoke a lot as a hobby. I signed up in March and am only now writing a review. Every time I went to karaoke, not being able to sing the songs I wanted because I couldn’t reach the notes was a real source of frustration. Especially as a Vocaloid fan, songs at the ‘was this even made for humans?’ level were basically out of the question.. I already knew about MONE VOCAL ACADEMY and wanted to take lessons, but living outside the Seoul area made it practically impossible — so when I heard you were launching online courses, I paid right away. At first I wondered if this would really work, but after taking the teacher’s lessons and practicing consistently, I went from someone whose limit was G4 to someone who can somehow, someway reach E5 — though admittedly it’s still pretty rough. That shows how packed with substance and essentials this course is, and I dare say all of you can achieve your dreams through it.

The lessons themselves are explained very kindly, and if there’s anything you don’t understand, you can request feedback in the online community and get very kind, fast answers. Based on your recording, they explain what’s wrong with your technique, how to fix it, and even which lesson covers it and where — so kindly and in such detail that there’s no better course for learning online on your own!

Hello, I’m a student who travels 8 hours round trip from Gumi, Gyeongbuk, to take the online course and attend in-person feedback classes. 15 years ago, I studied at a contemporary music academy. When I moved on to high school, I didn’t get into the school I wanted, lost my focus on music, and quit. After that, I was just an ordinary person who sang now and then at karaoke and could carry a tune. A lot of time passed, and in January ’25 I suddenly wanted to make music so badly that I started a YouTube channel. While doing YouTube, I realized how lacking my skills were and really wanted to sing well. So in February, I went to MONE VOCAL ACADEMY for a consultation. The consultation was very friendly, and I was confident I could shore up the areas I wanted and grow. But I didn’t enroll, because of the burden of an 8-hour round trip and because a weekly class was mandatory. Then in March I heard they were launching an online course, and I signed up right away without a second thought. Taking the online course now, I can feel my skills improving, though not as much as I’d like yet, and every feedback session pinpoints exactly what I’ve been struggling with. Practicing based on that, I’m improving little by little. Because of my job, I use my voice a lot, so it often gets strained and cracks, and I can’t practice much. So mastering the course 100% in 5~6 months is hard, but I believe that if I keep practicing based on this course, I’ll steadily improve. Hello. I’m an office worker and student (?) juggling a job and university. I’m not a great writer, so I’d appreciate your understanding if this rambles a bit...! It seems you still post occasionally, but back in the day (maybe the early days..?), I loved watching Mone analyze and explain the vocal techniques and traits of well-known utaite on YouTube (maybe I’m mistaken, but it seems some of those videos have disappeared). Listening to Mone’s covers, I was amazed and came to admire them, and I wanted to enroll right away at MONE VOCAL ACADEMY, said to be the only JPOP-specialized academy in Korea — but I was a high school student living outside Seoul at the time, so I gave up. But even now, as I write this, my passion for JPOP hasn’t faded one bit — if anything, my longing to fill that empty vessel has only grown. There were times along the way when I forgot about Mone and, fooling myself that just listening was enough, made no effort at all to sing. Then, miraculously, one day this March, while watching YouTube as usual, MONE VOCAL ACADEMY reappeared in my algorithm. At the time I didn’t think much of it — I just clicked the video because it brought back memories. The video ended, and my cursor was slowly scrolling down toward the comments when I saw it. Review updated on November 3, 2025. It’s been about 4 months since I took this course. Thanks to it, at karaoke, Lost One’s Weeping at -3 keys is now within reach. I’ll work a little harder for the original key.. In-person classes are too far away for me... and I can’t practice at home, which is a shame. But this has helped me a lot. I want to start building a fun, easy environment for myself.

I couldn’t hit high notes, so I always sang my favorite Vocaloid and Jpop songs an octave lower. But after finding MONE VOCAL ACADEMY and taking the Secret Lessons, I can now at least imitate the falsetto I couldn’t produce at all before. I’m a student, but through the online course I’m going to work hard so that my future self can sing clear, solid C5-range notes like an utaite. Go MONE VOCAL ACADEMY, always!

I’m taking it right now, and the explanations are excellent. Since I can ask questions in the online community, I get help even with the parts I can’t do alone, and I’m gaining confidence that I can do it!!

I’d learned singing through a Class 101 course before, but after slacking on practice I forgot the technique and kept singing from my throat, so I took the online course again. The curriculum shares the same roots as the Class 101 course, but it’s much easier to understand and more detailed, which really helped me rediscover my technique. Thank you.

I’m someone who even visited the academy for a consultation... I couldn’t enroll because of my busy schedule and the distance, but as soon as I heard about the online class, I paid right away,, High notes weren’t actually my concern, so I’ll only review the other aspects! First, is the course content itself especially different from other classes? Not really. But the teachers are so outstanding that hearing them demonstrate the sounds themselves as examples was incredibly helpful. The explanations are pretty easy to understand, too. Hardly anywhere else specializes in J-pop, and quite a few academies lack the skills and just tell you in words, ‘Make your sound like this~’ If you keep listening and following along, I think you’ll be able to sing more comfortably in the direction you want. The lessons are short, too, so if you commit, you can totally finish the whole course in no time. I also liked that quizzes help you review the lesson content. The extra services are a huge plus. (Honestly, that’s why I bought it..) If I have time, I definitely want to attend in-person coaching too. Especially the student cover — I think it’s a great service for people who can’t easily get their own home recording gear to start or try out utaite activities. Highly recommended for anyone who’s found it hard to attend in-person classes!

I’m taking the course and can already see changes

I’m a student who loves Japanese songs. Whenever I listen to songs I love, I want to sing them myself, but every time I tried to go higher or just sing, my voice wouldn’t go up, and if I pushed even a little, my voice would crack. I really wanted to sing well, but I just couldn’t. Then one day I found the MONE VOCAL ACADEMY channel on YouTube, and seeing people sing the Japanese songs I love so well made me jealous and made me want to be like them. Right around then, an online course launched, and I thought about buying it right away, but I kept wondering: Would taking an online course really change anything? Could I really sing the songs I want like that too? After a lot of thought, I finally made up my mind — I was sure I’d never be able to live without singing, and I wanted to sing so badly that I’d definitely end up learning someday anyway. And if it wasn’t just any vocal school, but a place that specializes in the genre I love, full of people who love Japanese songs just like me, there was no reason not to start now. So I signed up for the online course. I haven’t been practicing for long, but I, who didn’t even know how to make a sound well enough to sing any song at all, have changed this much and gotten so much better. Just imagining what I’ll be like tomorrow, next week, and a few months from now if I keep taking this course and practicing makes me so happy, and I’m truly... sincerely glad I found MONE VOCAL ACADEMY.

Whenever I have a question, I ask on the Cafe and they explain it really kindly, which helps a lot. Honestly, I bought this to break through my high-note ceiling, but I feel like my overall understanding — from low notes to upper-mid and high notes — has improved. No regrets at all. I’m still a student with lots of other things to do, so I can’t watch and practice as often as I’d like, but just seeing myself get a little better every day makes me happy and has been a great experience. I always wanted to attend MONE VOCAL ACADEMY in person, but I couldn’t because of distance and time, so I’m so glad they made an online course! I’m a beginner who just finished Part 1. Amazingly, there’s a clear difference from how I used to sing — my throat doesn’t tense up at all. Something magical is already happening.. lol I’d love to leave another review later.

I wanted to practice singing while serving in the military, and this course is exactly what I needed. I’ll practice hard and come take the in-person classes too~

Hi, I’m a 31-year-old office worker. Ever since around 9th grade, whenever I saw friends who sang well, I’d always ask them, “How do you sing like that?” This course made me confident that MONE VOCAL ACADEMY could make the version of me I’d kept tucked away in my heart — someone who sings freely — a reality. I’m only 10% through and haven’t put in a huge amount of effort yet, but I felt this curriculum at this price was a once-in-a-lifetime chance that would never come around again, so I bought it! Here’s how I got here: while watching One Piece Film Red, I heard Ado’s “New Genesis,” then listened to covers of Show and Aishite, fell into Vaundy.. and ever since I discovered this whole world existed, I’ve been steadily listening to the covers MONE VOCAL ACADEMY uploads. From what I could tell, the lessons seemed to be in-person only, and distance and time didn’t work for me, so I was bummed — this is so great. That’s how long I’d had my eye on it, and these are great lesson videos! I’d watched tons of videos on maschera and other vocal techniques through the YouTube algorithm, but something more fundamental turned out to matter. I’m not usually one to write reviews, but this is the first time I’ve wanted to write one this carefully. Don’t be afraid — take that first step! I’m convinced this place can truly help anyone become an utaite. For the record, I watched these during breaks at work because I was so eager to start learning. I was worn out and bored from work, yet for the first time in ages, I was truly absorbed.
